Canadian Friendship Week
1/2/2017 to 1/08/2017 - Canadian Friendship week is an event at Holiday Valley Resort ski lift tickets and rentals are at par for Candadian cash.
2017 Harley Day Valley
1/21/2017 - A day featuring everything Harley Davidson, and all are welcome to the Saturday night party in the Lodge with live music and loud bikes!.

2017 Winter Blues Festival
1/20/2017 to 1/22/2017 - Local and regional blues artist play some cool licks at the local Ellicottville pubs and restaurants. New for 2016, enjoy local craft beer at the Ellicottville Brewing Company and other pubs. Enjoy some blues and great skiing. Ski all day and enjoy the cool Winter Blues and Brews Festival at night.

2017 Its Your Turn Women's Ski Clinic
1/26/2017 to 1/27/2017 - Holiday Valley Snowsports School is featuring the third annual "Your Turn" women's clinic led by Lisa Densmore Ballard, a widely acclaimed coach, instructor and ski racer and assisted by several of Holiday Valley's finest women instructors. Intermediate through advanced level skiers will benefit from this clinic. The clinic includes breakfast at the event registration. Pre-registration is advised as the class size is limited.

2017 Art Roscoe Loppet
2/12/2017 - Come out for a day of cross country skiing in the high peaks of Allegany State Park's Art Roscoe Ski Area. The Annual Art Roscoe Loppet Classic XC Ski Race & Tour has three distances of classic style skiing to choose from: 6K, 13K or 22K of groomed double track promise a wicked day of skiing competition. 2017 Penguin Paddle
2/25/2017 - Come out for a great ski weekend with the Penguin Paddle events at Holiday Valley Resort. The annual fundraiser for Holiday Valley's Lounsbury Adaptive Program is filled with fabulous auction items, raffles, delicious food and of course great skiing. The Penguin Paddle has lots of laughs as people in garbage bags slide on their bellies like penguins down the bottom of the Yodeler slope. The peguin races have eight age groups and categories, including a couples race. Registration for the races is on the day of the event.

2017 Snowshoe Scramble
2/18/2017 - The event is in Glenwood, New York and is hosted by Heartrateup.com. The 2017 Sprague Brook Scramble Snowshoe Race kicks off at 10am from the XC warming hut at Sprague Brook Park. 2.5 & 5-mile courses feature packed trails around the park and in the wooded XC ski loop.

2017 Winter Carnival / Mardi Gras
3/10/2017 to 3/12/2017 - The 2017 Winter Carnival is a festival at Holiday Valley Resort and Mardi Gras weekend in downtown Ellicottville. Downtown Eillicottville has the Mardi Gras parade and more activities. Holiday valley has an entire weekend of events including the Dummy Downhill, face painting, balloon races, snow bowling, scavanger hunts, beer and rootbeer races, costume parades, live entertainment and more! Don’t forget your beads for the parade!

Maple Weekends at Moores Maple Shack and Pancake House
Maple weekends are usually from 10 am to 6 pm for during the last 3 weekends in March, depending on the weather. Enjoy a 20 to 30 minute FREE wagon rides trough the maple woods 10 am to 3 pm. Learn about the syrup process. They sell maple syrup year round!
The Pancake House as all you can eat buttermilk pancakes with a side meat or egg. They also have a menu of other breakfast items! The Pancake House is March 1 through mid-April; open Tues through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 6 PM.

2017 Pond Skimming Party
3/18/2017 - Come out for a great ski weekend with the Penguin Paddle events at Holiday Valley Resort. Sign up to skim across an ice water filled pond or just watch, it's a guaranteed good time. Registration outside Yodeler Lodge starting at 11:00AM, $5 per event. Kids under 18 must have a parent signature. Pond Skimming starts about 1:00 and categories include Best Skimmer, Best Costume, Best Kid and Best Splash.

2017 Happy Half Marathon and 5K
5/13/2017 - Organized by the same folks who brought you the fall EVL Halloween Half, the spring Happy Half is a serious race, but full of fun surprises along the way. The 13.1 mile route will start in Ellicottville, take you through the rolling terrain of Great Valley and finish at Holiday Valley. There's also a 5K distance and 1 mile Beer Run. The AWESOME after party will be held at the Holiday Valley Lodge.

2017 Allegany Adventure Run
5/6/2017 - The 2017 Allegany Adventure Trail Run is at the Allegany State Park Summit Trail head. This beautiful, challenging and relentless course is in the Art Roscoe Trial system. Once again there are three different course distances, a 6K, 13K and 22K Courses that will challenge your stamina, sure-footedness and endurance in a setting few other venue's can offer in Western New York.
A centralized start/finish area at the summit ski area in Red House promote the perfect location for this annual endurance challenge. Pre-register to guarantee your place on the starting line. For 2015 a field limit will be imposed of 150 entrants per distance. Pre-register to guarantee your entry! Race-day entry will be available at a higher rate if availble. The race will be run rain or shine.
Bring a change of clothes and enjoy the terrific post-race party, amazing door prizes & awards ceremony! Proceeds help support the Allegany Nordic Ski Patrol and other local charities!

2017 Ellicottville, NY Outdoor Expo
6/3/2017 to 6/4/2017 - Ellicottville’s newest event! Come to the Ellicottville Outdoor Adventure Expo to see what’s cool to do in and around Ellicottville during the Green Season. Exhibits and demonstrations of what you and your family can do in the great outdoors all around Ellicottville.

2017 Mudslide Obstacle Trail Run
6/17/2017 - The 6th annual Mudslide Trail run is at Holiday Valley Resort. The 3.5 mile or 5.4 mile course has many obstacles, include mud pits, log walls, cargo nets and more. The event has a maximum of 1,200 competitors, so pre-registration is required. The earlier that you register, the lower the registration fee (see the website link for rates and schedules). here is a max of 1200 competitors. Register by November 9 for $55, by June 1 for $60 or by June 19 for $80 for the 3.5 OR the 5.4 mile run on June 20. Day of race registration is not available. All competitors will receive a goody bag and a super cool finisher's medal plus a hot dog and 2 beers (or beverages). The Kids' Race is $5 (up to age 12), register for kids at the Yodeler Deck. You cannont sign-up the day of the event. There is also a post race party! Visit their website for information and to register.

2017 Raccoon Rally
6/17/2017 and 6/18/2017 - The annual Racoon Rally is a road course and mountain biking event weekend at the Allegany State Park.
Saturday's USAC Road Race and Sunday's Cross Country & Kids Races provide two-days of cycling in one of the most demanding and beautiful settings in Western New York, the Allegany State Park. The courses provide a challenge mentally and physiclaly that leave you with a sense of accomplishment. The rolling hills of Park roads create an ideal Road-Race site and the almost endless climbs tell no lies. Sunday's cross country races have challenging hill climbs and turns the provide heart-pounding fun. All levels of cyclists are invited and to participate.

USA Independance Day Weekend
The festivities are the weekend of June 30 - July 4, 2017. Enjoy the fireworks, the Summer festival and Ellicottville Rodeo! If you stay at Wildflower unit 55, you can see the Holiday Valley Resort fireworks from the patio!
Typically there are fireworks displays at Holiday Valley Resort, Allegany State Park and Ellicottville Championship Rodeo. Take a trip out and enjoy a fun weekend of events!
2017 Ellicottville Summer Music Festival
6/30/2017 through 7/2/2017 - The annual 3 day festival has great concerts, parties fireworks and more!
The Ellicottville Summer Music Festival includes a Top of the Mountain Party, multiple live concerts, art, crafts, food, fun and FIREWORKS! Individual concert tickets and details are available through the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce website. Over 12 live bands!
The concerts at the Holiday Valley Resort stage have not been announced, so stay check back for updates!
The Top of the Mountain Party on July 1 usually sells out, so look to buy your tickets in advance. The party includes a ride up the Mardi Gras Chairlift to an old fashioned adult Carnival themed Party at the top. The party will include a full dinner with stations, with delicacies like a Coney Island Steamer station, Mahi Mahi Taco station, Wok station and more. There will also be lots of fun adult carnival games, entertainment and a cash bar.

The 2017 Ellicottville Championship Rodeo
6/29/2017 through 7/2/2017 - The Ellicottville Championship rodeo is held each year on July 4th weekend at Sommerville Valley Stables, just a few minutes from Ellicottville. All seats are close to the action at this rodeo! It is one of the largest IPRA / APRA sanctioned rodeos in the northeast. The July 2, 3 and 4th rodeos are at 7:00 PM with fireworks and Sunday July 5 is at 2:00 PM.

2017 EVL TRAIL RUNS
7/23/2017 - The EVL 9-mile and the 4-mile course feature challenges for every runner. Holiday Valley Resort and the NY State forest provide great terrain for the ultra run. There is good protection under the trees from heat and rain. The terrain can be challenging, so runner should train properly and be prepared for anything!
The 4-Mile course features just over a 600' elevation to the top of the first climb. The course is a single track with rock gardens, tight, twisty trails to/from the Holiday Valley Mountain Sports Center.
The blockbuster 9+ Mile course is a wicked version that will kick up your adrenaline and push your body to the limit. The course starts and finishs at the Mountain Sports Center at Holiday Valley Resort. Runners cross into NY State Forest land which includes miles and miles of manicured single track, rock gardens, challenging climbs and descents plus a few gravel road recovery sections. There are three water/energy stops to help keep you fueled during the event. The course has clear markings and is an intermediate/advanced level.
The events are rain or shine and there is a fun post-race party featuring lunch, great door prizes and DJ at the Mountain Sports Center. The first 300 entrants recieve a T-shirt. There are award for Male/Female and Masters Male/Female for each event! The event is run by Heartrate up.

2017 Ellicottville Jazz and Blues Weekend
7/28/2017 through 7/30/2017 - The A Jazz weekend in Ellicottville is an awesome experience! There is a main stage in downtown Ellicottville, with many additional performances. You can choose from national, local and regional Jazz and Blues musicians. Wander through the village and choose from a variety of Jazz performance in restaurants, pubs, the street-side stage and the village square.
The 2017 lineup has not been released, but 2015 had over 9 published performances. The 2015 performers included:

2017 Taste of Ellicottville
8/12/2017 and 8/13/2017 - Twenty-two of Ellicottville's fine restaurants have set up tents on the streets for the Taste of Ellicottville. Sample appetizers, entrees, desserts and more from many of the local restaurants. Tickets are $1 each and items are between $1-$4.

2017 Rock N’ Oldies Weekend
9/15/2017 through 9/17/2017 - Check out over 200 antique and custom rods. The Rock n’ Roll Weekend in Ellicottville, NY has live music on Friday and Saturday night in the village pubs and restaurants. A classic car show from noon until 5pm on Sunday. There is plenty of kids games, nostalgia and entertainment for everyone. Enter your ride in the show!

9/15/2017 through 10/31/2017 - A full day of fun! Pumpkinville has plenty of treats; with a barbeque pit chicken, fresh pressed apple cider, home-made pumpkin and caramel ice cream, home-made deserts and pies, fudge, maple products, pumpkin doughnuts and more. Checkout the farm animals, hay rides, the cow train ride, the corn cannon, bouncing air pillows, pedal carts and story land.
They have scenic helicopter rides on weekends, weather permitting. There is an apple barn and cider mill, painted pumpkins, merchant village and local artist gift shop. You can also pick up some pumpkins, apples, gourds, squash and other fall produce! Make this a fall tradition!

10/1/2017 through 10/31/2017 - The 40 minute nightmare hayride, haunted maze and the vortex barn are full of haunts and twists at every turn. There is a food pavilion to get some treats after your adventure! The Nightmare Hayrides are just 10 minutes away on Sommerville road. They are open all October weekends — Fri/Sat/Sun 7:30—9:30 pm.

2017 Fall Festival
10/07/2017 and 10/08/2017 - The 2016 Fall Festival in Ellicottville, NY is also know as the Oktoberfest. The festival is the oldest and largest festival with Ellicottville’s hills ablaze with fall color. Take the ski lift up for live music and the view. Tens of thousands attend this lively weekend of great food, art show, craft show, tent sale, ski swap, carnival rides, live entertainment, 5K, mountain bike race and more.

2017 EVL Half Marathon and 5K
10/28/2017 - The 2017 EVL Half Marathon and 5k is in Ellicottville, NY. Fall is the perfect time to run a half Marathon with the cool temps. The EVL Halloween Half is a fun filled Halloween-themed event that feature a Half Marathon and a 5k for runners of all abilities. Participants are invited to run in costume and enjoy other Halloween related activities but it is not required. There are age group and costume awards for those who dress up for the halloween fun run.

2017 Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival
11/10/2017 and 11/11/2017 - Holiday Valley Resort, the Ellicottville Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewery will hosting the 14th Annual Beer and Wine Festival at the Holiday Valley Lodge on Saturday, November 7 from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. Guests will be able to sample a variety of hand-crafted beers from over 30 of the best US and Imported beers and wines from New York vintners. Shuttle busses available from Wildflower.
The ever popular 5 course tappas style Beer Tasting Dinner will take place on Friday, Nov.6 upstairs in the Clubhouse Chalet. Cost of the dinner and the menu to be announced. Reservations can be made by calling 716-699-2010.

2017 Winter Arts Festival (formerly the Routes to Art
11/18/2017 and 11/19/2017 - The Winter Arts Festival was foremerly known as the Routes to Art tour. The event is now in November at the Holiday Valley Main Lodge! The Cattaraugus County Arts Council host this annual event to showcase the fabulous local arts in Cattaraugus County New York.
The CCAC Winter Arts Festival at the Lodge at Holiday Valley features original artworks, providing a venue for artists to display their work, meet the public and sell their pieces. Situated on two floors of Holiday Valley’s main lodge overlooking the slopes, it is the perfect setting to get in the spirit for holiday shopping.
Paintings, prints, photographs, pottery, jewelry, wood and fiber arts are a few of the many original artworks that will be for sale at this juried show and sale. Come meet the artists in person and find the perfect one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones this holiday season.
There is live music on both days as well as a craft making area for kids. Kids can make their own ornaments

2017 Christmas in Ellicottville
11/24/2017 to 11/26/2017 - As the daylight fades into the mountains, the magic of Ellicottville comes alive as the glow from the white holiday lights illuminate the village of Ellicottville. Throughout the event, activities will include Christmas carolers, reindeer, photos and breakfasts with Santa, hot-chocolate, cookie decorating, horse and wagon rides as well as fire truck rides with Santa, and a family holiday square dance!

2017 Christmas Stroll
12/2/2017 - Experience a very unique, old fashioned holiday season with the Christmas Stroll. Among the many events is Santa's arrival, and the day is concluded with a Living Nativity at the Gazebo. The kids love the live camel. Other activities include organ music, tours of St. John's, ornament making for kids, cocoa and cookies in Mrs. Claus kitchen at the Barn Restaurant, wagon rides next to Town Hall, candy elves, caroling, the Reindog Parade and a live camel strolling around town. There is also a display of nativity sets and angels in the Holy Name of Mary Church Hall.
